Project Bieszczadzka Inka

Data rozpoczęcia 16 September 2017

The glorious event took place on 16th, September, 2017 in the  Olszanica People’s House  . It was  a project called “Bieszczadzkie Inka” . This project carried out by  Krośnieńska Foundation  Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Krosno, was  co-funded by  the Polish History Museum as part of  the nation-wide grant program "Patriotism of Tomorrow".  The Olszanica Municipality  and Municipal Public Library in Olszanica were the  partners in this project.   The “Association of Olszanica and the Neighbourhood  Lovers” was the co-organizer.
120 participants, including young people,  took part in this project connected with life of Helena Żurowska.  After the lecture given by Krystyna Chowaniec there was an improvisation theatre performance aimed primarily at the young generation to bring them closer to the reality of a young girl growing up in a different time than the present. The performance was a result    of the theatre workshops led by Agnieszka Kowalczyk, and the amateurs - residents of the municipality-  performed in it.  At the end of the event, the band of early music Filika di Musica, with musicians: Anna Zawisza - soprano, Magdalena Pilch, Marek Nahajowski - renaissance flutes, Julia Karpeta, Justyna Młynarczyk - viola da gamba, Patrycja Domagalska-Kałuża - harpsichord, magnificently  performed some pieces of  Polish music.  Among others they played  Psalms of Mikołaj Gomółka to the lyrics  of Jan Kochanowski as well as instrumental works of the great Polish baroque composer  Adam Jarzębski. The  aim of the concert was to commemorate the life  of Helena Żurowska, the woman  born in Olszanica,  the  outstanding figure in Polish history - Bieszczady "Inka",
The number of the audience and the   ovation  at the end of event show that there is a great need to organize such events for local society.
