Forest reserve
Forest reserve "Buczyna w Wańkowa" with an area of about 100 ha, protects the natural communities in the alluvial forest, broadleaved and beech forest with numerous dendrological peculiarities and 15 species of protected plants (including bear's garlic, Moldavian primate, wood-worm, martagon lily, orchids ).
In the reserve and in the adjacent forest of the Słonne Mountains range there are ornithological peculiarities, such as: lesser spotted eagle, Ural owl, eagle owl and black stork.
